1 5 D ec 2 00 4 Large - n expansion for m - axial Lifshitz points ♥
The large-n expansion is developed for the study of critical behaviour of d-dimensional systems at m-axial Lifshitz points with an arbitrary number m of modulation axes. The leading non-trivial contributions of O(1/n) are derived for the two independent correlation exponents η L2 and η L4 , and the related anisotropy index θ. The series coefficients of these 1/n corrections are given for genera...
متن کاملLarge N Expansion from Fuzzy Ads 2
We study the quantum analogue of primary fields and their descendants on fuzzy AdS2, proposed in hep-th/0004072. Three-point vertices are calculated and shown to exhibit the conventional 1/N expansion as well as nonperturtive effects in large N , thus providing a strong consistency check of the fuzzy AdS2 model. A few new physical motivations for this model are also presented.
متن کاملLarge-q expansion of the correlation length in the two-dimensional q-state Potts model
The large-q expansions of the exponential correlation length and the second moment correlation length for the q-state Potts model in two dimensions are calculated at the first order phase transition point both in the ordered and disordered phases. The expansion coefficients in the ordered and disordered phases coincide in lower orders for both of the two types of the correlation lengths, but th...
متن کاملQuantum Lifshitz Point
I study a quantum Lifshitz point in a three-dimensional itinerant antiferromagnet, in particular the scaling of the Néel temperature, the correlation length, the staggered susceptibility, the specific heat coefficient and the resistivity. At low temperatures, the model is shown to have the inverse staggered susceptibility and the resistivity varying as T5/4, and the specific heat coefficient va...
